Medicaid recovery audit contractors are expecting increased audit revenues for the third and fourth quarters of 2011 as well as 2012, according to PRG Schultz International in a RACmonitor report.
The second quarter report from PRG, a Medicaid RAC, stated that "while the magnitude and timing of additional healthcare claims recovery audit revenues are difficult to predict, we expect those revenues to increase in the third and fourth quarters of 2011 compared to the first half of the year," the report said.
Other Medicaid RACs for seven states including New York and Tennessee expect similar promising reports in 2012.
