Through the first quarter of fiscal year 2012, Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga., reported it has already provided more than $24.8 million in indigent care, nearly $4.4 million above its budget, according to a Rome News-Tribune report.
FY 2012 runs from July 1, 2011 and ends on June 30, 2012. FMC's first quarter results are through Sept. 30.
FMC's CFO Rick Sheerin also said the hospital's revenue was $79.2 million in the first quarter, roughly $2.4 million less than projected, according to the report.
