Humana, one of the largest health insurers in the United States, decided to drop out of Utah's health insurance exchange, according to a Salt Lake Tribune report.
Utah's exchange is only available to employees of small businesses, and Humana said it plans to focus on their own small-business products, according to the report.
Utah is only one of two fully operating exchanges in the country right now, and Humana had roughly 480 of the exchange's 4,000 consumers. Additionally, less than 30 of the 140 health plans available on the exchange were Humana's, the report said. However, with Humana gone, there are only three insurers remaining that are pricing policies on the exchange.
