Coordinated Health – Bethlehem (Pa.) and Pittsburgh-based health insurer Highmark have ended their contract after the two sides could not negotiate new payment rates, according to a Morning Call report.
Highmark customers will no longer be in network for the Bethlehem campus of Coordinated Health, which has hospitals throughout eastern Pennsylvania. The current spat leaves the Bethlehem facility as the only hospital without a contract in Highmark's 49-county service area.
Both parties said they are still trying to hammer out a new deal, according to the report.
