CMS has released a draft ICD-10 definitions manual and code editor for the version 31 grouping program for fiscal year 2014 Medicare severity-diagnosis-related groups.
Providers can download text and HTML versions of the manual and code editor to evaluate the impact ICD-10 will have on the MS-DRG system. The version 31 ICD-10 software will be available this month. The final version 32 grouper logic will be implemented Oct. 1, 2014.
