CMS recently developed and released four implementation handbooks to help hospitals and other providers make the transition to ICD-10.
The four different templates are geared toward four different audiences:
• Small and medium practices
• Large practices
• Small hospitals
• Payors
CMS said the guides can help hospitals, providers and payors ensure appropriate steps and actions are taken in the ICD-10 implementation process, stay on top of deadlines and customize transition plans that can clarify staff roles and other responsibilities.
