Boston's Caritas Christi Recorded $16.8M in Operational Net Income in Last Year as Non-Profit

Boston-based Caritas Christi brought in more than $1.4 billion in total revenues in fiscal year 2010, and it recorded a total net income from operations of $16.79 million in its last year as a non-profit health system, according to Massachusetts state documents (pdf).

Caritas Christi is now known as Steward Health Care, a for-profit enterprise, after private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management purchased the system in Nov. 2010.

Additionally, Caritas Christi recorded net assets worth roughly $925 million in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2010.
