Six acute-care hospitals and health systems received a downgrade between March 16 and April 15, according to a report by HFA Partners.
The hospitals and health systems receiving credit downgrades included:
• Baylor Health Care System (Dallas) — from Aa2 to Aa3 (Moody's)
• Beatrice (Neb.) Community Hospital — from BBB- to BB+ (Fitch)
• Children's Hospital of Orange (Calif.) County — from A to A- (S&P)
• Daughters of Charity Health System (Los Altos Hills, Calif.) — from BBB to BBB- (S&P)
• Great Plains Regional Medical Center (Elk City, Okla.) — from BBB- to BB+ (S&P)
• Munroe Regional Health System (Ocala, Fla.) — from A3 to Baa1 (Moody's)
Two acute-care hospitals and health systems garnered a credit upgrade in the past month:
• Fauquier Hospital (Warrenton, Va.) — from BBB+ to A- (S&P)
• Olmsted Medical Center (Rochester, Minn.) — from BBB+ to A- (Fitch)
Four hospitals and health systems also had positive rating affirmation changes, while eight hospitals and health systems had negative rating affirmation changes.
