The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute announced an agreement with the National Institute on Aging to form a partnership to fund a study on preventing injuries from falls in older adults.
The "Falls Injuries Prevention Partnership" will fund a large-scale, multi-year clinical trial on preventing injuries due to falls in non-institutionalized older individuals. While PCORI plans to provide up to $30 million in funding, the specific amount has not yet be determined.
NIA is part of the National Institutes of Health.
