New Jersey Law Would Mandate Healthcare Worker Vaccinations

A New Jersey bill that would require healthcare employers to administer flu vaccinations to healthcare workers is moving through the New Jersey legislature, according to an Express-Times report.

Under the proposal, healthcare facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes and home healthcare agencies, would be required to create an annual flu vaccination program and administer the vaccine to employees. The bill has already been approved by the legislature's Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee.
