Joint Commission Issues Correction on Standards Applicability Grid for Hospitals

The Joint Commission has issued a correction on its standards applicability grid for hospitals.

The Standards Applicability Grid in the 2012 Update 1 of the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals is used to determine which standards and requirements apply to which hospitals. The Joint Commission alerted costumers that the grid incorrectly transposed applicability data for psychiatric, surgical special and long-term acute care services. The organization will mail a reprint of the grid chapter in May.
