Broadwater Health Center, a nine-bed critical access hospital in Townsend, Mont., is slowly accepting new patients ahead of a follow-up survey to determine its compliance to patient safety standards, according to a Helena Independent Record report.
The hospital and nursing home were shut down by state officials in July after it failed to meet certain standards of care, which were not specified in the news report.
State officials conducted a preliminary visit and approved the hospital to begin accepting patients again as the facility prepares for a follow-up survey. Patients are needed at the time of the inspection to ensure patient care standards are being met.
Broadwater Health will not seek state approval to have its nursing home reopened.
