Beryl Institute White Paper Discusses Opportunities for Improving Patient Satisfaction

The Beryl Institute has released a white paper that includes data from its 2011 benchmarking study on patient satisfaction as well as opportunities for healthcare providers to improve patient satisfaction rates.

The white paper outlines qualitative data obtained during its 2011 benchmarking study. The study includes feedback from nearly 800 hospital executives across the country and addresses a broad range of questions regarding patient safety, such as "What are some tactical approaches being taken by healthcare organizations to improve the patient experience?"

The white paper also details specific approaches that healthcare providers have taken to improve overall patient experiences in five areas: noise reduction, rounding, pain management, discharge processes and staff responsiveness/communication.
