The National Patient Safety Foundation is holding Patient Safety Awareness Week March 3-9 to educate healthcare providers and consumers on the importance of patient safety.
This year's theme is Patient Safety 7/365: 7 days of recognition, 365 days of commitment to safe care, to emphasize the need to work on improving patient safety every day.
NPSF will host activities throughout the week to raise awareness of patient safety, including a webcast on medication safety March 6 and a Twitter chat on using simulation to teach opioid prescribing March 7.
