Who says Population Health Programs aren't working? 8 myths debunked

In a recent blog post, xG Health Solutions' CMO Dr. Gordon Norman offers us 8 fallacies on why people think PHM programs are not working.

1. PHM Programs Are Comparable
2. Combining Studies of Successful and Unsuccessful Programs and Concluding Null Effect
3. Assuming that process measures are valueless
4. Assuming that only the classic scientific method is appropriate for evaluation and understanding
5. Who or what is causing process/outcomes matters more than the process/outcomes improvements
6. Thinking PHM programs have not evolved since the 1990s
7. Assuming CMS' evaluations of PHM programs are the final say
8. If adherence to Evidence-Based Medicine doesn't solve every quality issue, then PHM has limited value for improving health care value

Dr. Norman argues that Population Health programs are alive, well and thriving. This is not a time to leave them behind, but to take them on and carry full-speed ahead.
