Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic teamed up with NBC News to air its first episode of the weekly TV show "Health + Happiness with Mayo Clinic" on April 7, the Post Bulletin reports.
The show aims to provide viewers of all ages with reliable information on personal health and happiness, from nutrition to satisfaction with everyday life. Its creators told the Post Bulletin they hope the show will help debunk popular myths about health and wellness, and spur people to establish healthy habits before they get sick.
It will air in 30-minute installments on Saturday mornings in Rochester. The show will be co-hosted by NBC's Joy Bauer and Mayo Clinic News Network's Vivien Williams. Pritish Tosh, MD, a Mayo Clinic expert in infectious diseases, is the medical editor for the show, according to the report.
