Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health will invest $100 million to address critical health issues in the state, the organization announced Nov. 19.
Under the new Community Impact Investment Fund, IU Health Foundation will award annual grants focused on addressing social determinants of health in Indiana.
IU Health already awarded the first round of grants, which will support the creation of an opioid crisis center in Monroe County, a program designed to lower infant and maternal mortality rates, and an effort to connect faith congregations with hospitals to better care for people with chronic health issues.
