PGA golfer, wife donate $5.3M for behavioral health center at Children's Hospital of Georgia

Augusta-based Children's Hospital of Georgia received a $5.3 million donation from the Kevin and Brittany Kisner Foundation, which will be used to create a pediatric behavioral health and wellness center.

Kevin Kisner is a PGA golfer, and his wife, Brittany, worked at the hospital from 2009-12 as a speech pathologist, according to a Nov. 15 news release.

The center — in collaboration with MCG Child and Adolescent Psychiatry — will provide testing and evaluation, referrals for psychotherapy, counseling, and other mental health services. It will also have physical, occupational and speech therapy.

The Kisner Foundation previously donated $50,000 to the hospital in December 2020 for the same purpose.

"We really want to focus on the whole child," Ms. Kisner said. "By supporting pediatric behavioral health and wellness at Children's Hospital of Georgia, we can help ensure that families have access to vital resources their children need to grow and develop into successful adults. That's our mission at the Kisner Foundation."
