Kalispell, Mont.-based Logan Health received an $8 million donation from Candy and Eddie DeBartolo, former owner of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers.
With the money, the health system will build an emergency medical services consortium, according to a Jan. 25 Logan Health news release.
The DeBartolos are the single largest donors to the health system, the news release said.
"Many of Logan Health’s initiatives would not be possible without philanthropic support of our community donors like Eddie and Candy DeBartolo," said Logan Health President and CEO Craig Lambrecht, MD. "This EMS consortium is another example of the DeBartolos' generosity serving as a catalyst to bring vision to fruition, and we are deeply grateful for their gracious commitment to Logan Health. I can’t thank them enough for their continued generosity."
