United Health Services' pharmacies are managing an issue with processing health savings account and flexible spending account debit card payments, the Binghamton, N.Y.-based system said.
The problem is because UHS underwent a change to its financial transaction system, according to a news release. The system told patients who experienced a declined transaction to return to the pharmacy and complete their purchases.
If someone paid for items out of pocket because of the issue, they can submit a reimbursement request to their account administrator.
