Sandoz poaches veteran GlaxoSmithKline exec

Richard Saynor, a former GlaxoSmithKline senior executive, was named CEO of Novartis' Sandoz unit April 24, according to Endpoints News.

Mr. Saynor has been with GSK for the last nine years. He most recently served as senior vice president of classic and established products.

Sandoz is hiring someone who knows the operation well. Before working at GSK, Mr. Saynor spent five years at Sandoz.

Mr. Saynor will succeed former CEO Richard Francis, who abruptly resigned last month.
