Phoenix Children's, a two-hospital pediatric system, partnered with Shields Health Solutions Jan. 24 to help design and implement its specialty pharmacy program.
The collaboration will initially focus on treating patients with cystic fibrosis before expanding to other populations, according to a news release. Shields Health Solutions, which specializes in specialty pharmacy programs, partners with dozens of hospitals.
This joint venture will feature Shields liaisons working with patients and their families at Phoenix Children's "with navigating barriers to care, such as health insurance prior authorizations or securing financial assistance," according to the release.
