Essentia Health, a 14-hospital system based in Duluth, Minn., launched a free tool March 26 to verbalize prescription labels.
The app, ScripTalk, uses text-to-speech technology to recite drug labels for patients who cannot read them, according to an Essentia news release. ScripTalk can speak in 25 languages, and patients can access the free service through Essentia's pharmacies.
