Milwaukee-based Froedtert Health recently opened a retail pharmacy on the first floor of its new $42 million rehabilitation hospital, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
The pharmacy is the system's first to be accessible from the street for patients and community members, instead of being housed within a hospital, according to Jessica Page, PharmD, manager of outpatient pharmacy at Froedtert's Bluemound campus in Wauwatosa, Wis. The pharmacy also has a drive-thru and is open during the evenings and on weekends.
The pharmacy was part of a $49.5 million project to build a rehab hospital and dermatology clinic at the health system's Bluemound campus, both of which opened this summer.
