CVS Caremark will pay $15.3 million to settle a lawsuit accusing the pharmacy benefit manager of denying overtime pay to employees in its call centers nationwide, according to a KCUR news report.
The lawsuit, filed in 2014, alleged that CVS failed to pay customer service agents for pre-shift work that required them to be "call ready."
Under the settlement terms, eligible employees will receive an average payout of about $1,000. There are about 17,000 eligible employees, according to the report.
