Accredo Health Group, a specialty pharmacy owned by the Cigna Group, is planning to expand its business in Delaware, the Delaware Business Times reported Sept. 25.
The company told the publication it is looking to expand from a 34,000-square-foot facility in New Castle to a 200,000-square-foot location near Newark. Accredo is looking to grow its fulfillment abilities, move shipping operations in-house, and address growth in the biosimilar and gene therapy drug markets.
While a lease for the facility is still under negotiation, the company hopes to have half the facility in operation by the end of next year. In September, the state approved a $4.62 million grant for the project.
