New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System has inked an innovation partnership with a hospital in India.
Under the deal with Bengaluru-based Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Mount Sinai will share clinical experts and technology to help advance specialties such as oncology, cardiology and neurosciences on the continent.
"The pairing of Mount Sinai with the Ramaiah Memorial Hospital is an ideal partnership combining two leading institutions with long histories that are dedicated to medical education, clinical innovation, and an unwavering focus on providing world-class healthcare services to their patients," said David Reich, MD, president Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens, in a July 12 statement. "In the coming years of our collaboration, it will be my honor to facilitate Ramaiah's access to Mount Sinai's clinical and management expertise and best practices, and I look forward to our continuously evolving mutual engagement."
The 10-year agreement started July 1 and will include the cobranding of services and the sharing of artificial intelligence technology, The Times of India reported July 13.
