2 Missouri schools team up to shave 1 year off PharmD program

Webster University, based in Webster Groves, Mo., and the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis agreed April 3 to meld a school year for students working toward their Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees.

The agreement allows Webster students to complete their Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree and start obtaining their PharmD degree, "thus reducing the degree time by one year and potentially saving students both time and money," the schools said in a news release.

Two Georgia schools recently made a similar agreement.
