An Arizona man was arrested after allegedly stealing an ambulance with four firefighters and a patient inside, Telemundo Arizona reported Nov. 6.
The suspect, Jaysun Smith, allegedly jumped into the parked ambulance around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 5. He drove less than 400 feet before firefighters pushed him out of the driver's seat, according to court documents cited by Telemundo Arizona. He ran from the scene, but police arrested him shortly after.
Mr. Smith faces multiple charges including kidnapping and theft. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 15, NBC Miami reported.
