Five people were taken to the hospital after a Syracuse (N.Y.) Fire Department ambulance crashed into an SUV April 5, informnny.com reported.
The ambulance was dispatched for a medical call for a pediatric patient around 12:12 p.m. The vehicle was heading to the hospital with the patient when it collided with an SUV.
Firefighters in a fire truck following the ambulance radioed for help. Multiple fire trucks and ambulances responded to the crash.
The patient was taken to the hospital, along with four firefighters who were in the ambulance at the time of the accident. They are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition, the Syracuse Fire Department told the news outlet.
The driver of the SUV was treated at the scene and released.
