Veteran allegedly planted bomb at Florida VA hospital

A U.S. Army veteran appeared in court June 5 after allegedly planting a homemade explosive device at a Bay Pines, Fla.-based VA hospital, ABC News reports.

The bomb was found May 29. Prosecutors say surveillance video shows veteran Mark Edward Allen planting the device, according to the report. Mr. Allen's wife turned him in after she found another explosive device. Authorities disabled both devices. 

Mr. Allen faces charges of possession of an unregistered destructive device.
