The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to approve revised legislation to reauthorize the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act, the funding for which expires in March, according to an AHA News Now report.
The approval will reauthorize the hospital preparedness program, emergency system for advance registration of volunteer health professionals, medical reserve corps and other critical preparedness activities through 2016.
It is unclear when the Senate will take up the new measure, according to the report.
