Greenwood Village, Colo.-based American Medical Response and rideshare company Lyft linked up to provide nonemergency transportation services to patients seeking a ride home from the hospital or to an outpatient procedure.
The partnership will allow hospitals, health systems and health plans using AMR services to cover rides for patients who have difficulty accessing healthcare services. The companies said the partnership can improve outcomes and lower costs by cutting back on late and missed appointments.
The rides will be available in the 42 states where AMR operates.
