2 Michigan hospitals cancel surgeries, transfer patients due to water main break

A water main break Monday evening has left Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Mich., and Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital in Bloomfield Township, Mich., without water service, according to CBS Detroit.

Due to the water main break, Providence Park Hospital canceled all elective surgeries Tuesday and is diverting ambulances to other medical facilities. Some of the hospital's patients are being transferred to Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich., according to the report.

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital also canceled all elective surgeries Tuesday and is transferring patients to facilities with water service. The hospital closed its clinics and is diverting ambulances to other emergency departments, according to the report.
