Famous country musician Keith Urban made a special visit to Mercy Health-Children's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, Oct. 18 to surprise a 25-year-old patient at the facility, reports WCMH-TV Columbus.
The patient, Marissa English, was born with an inoperable cyst in her brain, severe scoliosis and cerebral palsy, according to WTOL. She is now receiving hospice care at the hospital.
Ms. English had tickets to Mr. Urban's Oct. 18 concert in Toledo but could not leave Mercy Health-Children's Hospital to attend the show. Instead, nurses brought the show to Ms. English. They launched a social media campaign urging the musician to come visit her at the hospital. The social media coverage got back to Mr. Urban, who came to see Ms. English and sang for her in her hospital room.
Mr. Urban also dedicated his Toledo concert to Ms. English and invited several of her family members to the show.
