The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Okla., had a grand reopening of its remodeled surgery suite yesterday, according to a hospital news release.
The $3.2 million renovation began in May 2010 and includes five operating rooms. Brian Hawkins, the medical center director, said in addition to benefiting patients, the new surgery suite will help the center recruit and retain surgeons.
During the renovation, the medical center performed surgeries in two mobile surgery units.
