NAPA's Dr. John Di Capua Addresses Questions on OR Turnover, Adding Anesthesia Coverage and Other Critical Hospital Efficiency Issues

Following the 2011 webinar titled "Maximizing Operating Room Efficiency: Why Most ORs Are Set Up for Failure and What to Do About It," presented by Timothy Dowd, MD, managing partner and CEO of North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA), and Richard Becker, MD, president and CEO of The Brooklyn Hospital Center, NAPA received several questions from participants touching on issues including OR turnover challenges, quality indicators to track and adding anesthesia coverage for a new service.

John Di Capua, MD, deputy CEO and chief medical officer of NAPA Management Services, Corp.; vice president of anesthesiology services of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System; and chairman of the Peter Walker Professor of Anesthesiology in the department of anesthesiology of Hofstra University North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, responded to these questions in a series of five Q&A articles published by Becker's Hospital Review.
