Lourdes Hospital in Kentucky Builds Cardiac, Endovascular Hybrid ORs

Paducah, Ky.-based Lourdes Hospital is building new cardiac and endovascular hybrid operating rooms, according to a hospital news release.

One of the ORs will be funded by a $200,000 donation from a retired surgeon and his wife. The cardiac hybrid OR will be named the Montgomery Cardiac Hybrid Operating Room in honor of the donation by Wally Montgomery, MD, and Geraldine Montgomery.

Lourdes is the only hospital in Kentucky to have both cardiac and endovascular hybrid ORs, according to the release. Construction began in the spring of 2011 and is scheduled to be completed this year.
