Richmond, Va.-based VCU Massey Cancer Center and VCU Health appointed Paula Fracasso, MD, PhD, deputy director of the cancer center and senior vice president of the cancer service line at VCU Health.
Dr. Fracasso will work with leadership at Massey, VCU Health and VCU School of Medicine to lead service line planning, grow the center's cancer care and further clinical research, a release shared with Becker's said.
Most recently from Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Fracasso has led teams of physicians and scientists to build therapeutics programs for phase 1 and 2 clinical trials. She is a board-certified medical oncologist, academic leader and pharmaceutical executive with expertise in novel therapies, including immuno-oncology and cellular agents.
