The US Oncology Network selected Jason Hammonds as its new president Sept. 20
Mr. Hammonds has served in various leadership roles at the organization over the last 13 years. Most recently, he was the senior vice president of operations for Texas Oncology — the largest integrated, community-based practice in the U.S. and a member of the US Oncology Network.
He has also held strategy and business development roles at McKesson, which provides infrastructure and business support to US Oncology Network practices.
"I am excited and humbled to lead this phenomenal organization, which is dedicated to empowering physicians and practices to provide the highest quality of care possible to the cancer patients who need them," Mr. Hammonds said. "We will stay focused on what is best for the patient by evolving our approach to value-based care, supporting our research capabilities, advancing our operational excellence, and modernizing our technology infrastructure."
The US Oncology Network supports more than 1,380 physicians across 480 independent oncology practices.
