Decatur, Texas-based Wise Health System is relocating some of its oncology services and closing its radiation therapy services Dec. 1, The Messenger reported Nov. 15.
Patients were notified of the cancer center's closure Nov. 1. The center is closing due to a pending purchase agreement by HCA Healthcare's Medical City Healthcare, which does not include the cancer center.
Patients are being referred to Texas Oncology for radiation services, Medical City told the news outlet. Negotiations for the purchase are pending.
HCA Healthcare is based in Nashville, Tenn.
