The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare, has filed an application with the state seeking permission to relocate its medical oncology service in a move it said will better accommodate expansions, the Hartford Business Journal reported June 21.
According to the report, which cited the hospital's application with the Connecticut Office of Health Strategy, HOCC is seeking to move its medical oncology practice from the Bradley Memorial Hospital campus in Southington, Conn., at 55 Meriden Ave., to 81 Meriden Ave. Medical oncology services are currently offered in the medical office building attached to the main Bradley Hospital building and will be relocated to the main Bradley Hospital building to be closer to infusion services.
The proposed relocation would provide room for expansion to accommodate a growing patient population and would enable patients to access oncology and infusion services at the same location, the hospital said in its application.
