Ze’ev Ronai, PhD, is stepping down as director of San Diego, Calif.-based Sanford Burnham Prebys on Aug. 1.
Cosimo Commisso, PhD, deputy director at Sanford, will act as interim director until a replacement is found.
Dr. Ronai joined Sanfrod in 2004 as a professor. He was named director of the NCI-designated cancer center in 2021.
He is moving to Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he will work on translational research.
