Here are seven cancer center and clinic groundbreakings, openings and expansions since Nov. 21:
- Gilbert, Ariz.-based Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is expanding its services to the Northwest Valley.
- Ashland, Ohio-based University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center was awarded a $10 million grant to expand the hospital's UH Seidman Cancer Center infusion center, renovate the primary care facilities and surgical space, recruit physicians and caregivers, and purchase imaging equipment.
- University of Chicago Medical Center is set to demolish an old apartment building to begin construction on a cancer center.
- Huntsville, Ala.-based Clearview Cancer Institute and Cancer Care Center of Decatur (Ill.) partnered to expand services across Alabama.
- Auburn (N.Y.) Community Hospital broke ground on a $15 million Upstate Cancer Center.
- Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (N.J.), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, unveiled its newly renovated medical oncology exam rooms at its cancer center.
- Bayfront Health St. Petersburg (Fla.) announced it will open a new cancer center in late spring 2025.
