Here are five oncologists starting new roles since Nov. 16:
- Hematologist-oncologist Alexander Chehrazi-Raffle, MD, joined Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope.
- New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center appointed Lawrence Schwartz, MD, as chair of the radiology department.
- Newport Beach, Calif.-based Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian tapped Carlos Becerra, MD, as medical director of cancer research for its Hoag Family Cancer Institute.
- Joseph Califano, MD, has been named director of the Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health.
- Gilbert, Ariz.-based Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center appointed Ahmed Al-Niaimi, MD, as chief of gynecology oncology.
