Nurse makes millions on NCLEX study guides

An emergency nurse has made $2 million in three years selling her study guides for the National Council Licensure Examination, Medscape Medical News reported March 22.

Stephanee Beggs, BSN, RN, started making her study sheets when COVID-19 hit months before she completed her nursing program at Los Angeles-based Mount Saint Mary's University. Classes switched to Zoom and she had no one to study with as she prepared for the board exams.

"The best way I know how to study is to teach things out loud. But because I had nobody to teach out loud to, I would literally teach them to the wall," Ms. Beggs told Medscape. "I would record myself so I could play it back and teach myself these topics that were hard for me to understand."

She then posted the videos to TikTok, where she has more than 660,000 followers, and they asked her to sell her sheets. Every sheet highlights a condition in a single page with easy-to-understand language and colorful designs, and so far, she has made 308 sheets that sell for between $2 and $150, according to the report.
