North Dakota's Department of Health extended its waiver for temporary nurse aide registration deadline to Dec. 31 as COVID-19 cases increase and staffing shortages persist, according to a press release.
This waiver, which was set to expire Oct. 31, allows individuals seeking registration to apply after completing an eight hour training course. Current temporary nurse aides can reapply for registration. The $25 fee for registration is also waived for all applicants.
All temporary nurse aids must be registered with the Nurse Aide Registry.
