Jing Wang, PhD, MSN, will serve as dean of the college of nursing at Florida State University in Tallahassee, effective Aug. 16.
A digital health expert, Dr. Wang's research focuses on the use of healthcare technology in the areas of aging, chronic illness management and primary care.
Currently, Dr. Wang is the vice dean for research at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Nursing, where she created the Center on Smart and Connected Health Technologies.
She has written more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and presentations and serves as editor-in-chief of JMIR Aging.
Laurie Grubbs, PhD, MSN, who has served as interim dean since 2019, will stay at the college as a professor emerita.
