- Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine partnered with the Howley Foundation and La Salle University to launch the ASPIRE Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, which allows high school juniors to begin training to become nurses.
- Des Moines, Iowa-based MercyOne's new JumpStart program provides financial support while nursing students finish school and pays fees for the board exam and license.
- Wyoming-based University of Michigan Health-West and Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College partnered to offer tuition support with paid, on-the-job experience to nursing students.
- John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, will launch a bachelor of science in nursing program in the fall.
- Monterey (Calif.) Adult School reopened its certified nursing assistant program.
