Pennock Health Services to Build New Hospital

Hastings, Mich.-based Pennock Health Services has announced plans to build a new hospital and medical arts building, according to a health system news release.

The Board of Trustees said the age and deteriorating condition and functionality of the current hospital led them to move forward with plans for a new facility. They will either demolish or turn the current hospital into a "residential-like enterprise," according to the news release.

In addition to the current services provided, the new hospital will also offer oncology and cardiac rehabilitation, says the news release.

The project will cost approximately $70 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring of 2015 and be completed in 2017.
